Le Parc National des Volcans, situé au nord-ouest du Rwanda, comprend cinq des huit volcans des montagnes des Virunga. Il est l'un des derniers sanctuaires du Gorille des Montagnes. Le Gorille des Montagnes est classé espèce EN DANGER par l'IUCN, cependant le nombre d'individus à l'état sauvage est en augmentation. On en compte environ 1000 en 2018 contre 880 en 2010.
The Volcanoes National Park, located in the northwest of Rwanda, encompasses five of the eight volcanoes of the Virunga Mountains. It is one of the last sanctuaries of the Mountain Gorilla. The Mountain Gorilla is listed as endangered species by the IUCN, however the number of individuals in the wild is increasing. There are about 1,000 in 2018 compared to 880 in 2010.
